Rubber foot that attaches to the bottom of cooktop grates. Replace if cracked, worn, missing, or loose to prevent grates from sliding and scratching.
I removed all the individual burners so I could lift the stainless cover to expose the igniter wires. I cleaned all the wire connections and the 4 good igniters and replaced the one bad igniter. Reassembly was easy and everything worked properly when done. Video of repair was helpful and all parts ordered were correct and shipped promptly and I will definitely use AppliancePartsPros again. Fix burners that won't ignite or spark continuously. This spark module controls ignition for all surface burners. DIY repair in about 45 minutes.
Refer to Mynor T. of Draper, UT Aug. 12, 2018 write-up. I benefited greatly from the above write-up. It took me a little less time to perform this repair (excluding cleaning the assembly) due to the write-up. This GE Profile gas burner cook top is a “drop-in” model meant to be installed into counter top cut outs. The glass top edges are the actual support area for the entire cook top assembly. Second repair after 10 years of service - igniter had cracked and spill overs were causing the others to misfire. This was a two-step process. I took apart the cooktop to see what parts were neded. Screws were all rusted, I had to drill ome out. The burner gaskets broke during the process and needed replacement. One of the burners had deformed due to excess heat. After that initial diagnose, I reassembled the cooktop without the igniters and ordered all the parts I needed. The second stage was... Read more

Burner base installs beneath the burner cap on gas cooktops. Replace if cracked, warped, or dome-shaped to restore proper flame coverage and alignment.
I decided to replace my igniters because I suspected that they were shorted. Due to my recklessness, I was too hard in taking them off and broke a couple. But with Appliance Pro's recommendations, I moved on to treplacing the switch harness assembly. I have to say that the replacement of the switch harness assembly took no more than 30 seconds. It was removing the base burners and the porcelain/cermaic igniters from their bases that took forever. Just a heads up to those amateurs like me, be... Read more
