The Flood Switch Assembly is an OEM part for GE dishwashers. This part detects water levels and prevent overfilling by shutting off the water supply if a potential flood condition is detected.

Ordered a new flood switch and activation stem from Aplliance Parts Pros.com. Order was delivered in about 3 days. Installed new switch and stem in about 15 min. Removed front kicker panel with two screws, the switch was just inside the panel secured with two screws. remove the electrical connector, removed screws, replace the two new parts..put the screws back in place and ran the washer...no overflows. I replaced the pump drain assembly. The flapper valve was included in the assembly, so I did not need to order that. On previous repairs, the old drain hose was tricky to reinstall, so I replaced it and the hose clamp.The silverware basket had holes in the bottom and required replacement. Removed upper basket out of dishwasher by removing slide arm stops. Turned basket upside down and removed broken parts. Took 5 minutes to take apart and put back together. Read more
This kit is used to repair a leaking pump on GE made dishwashers. For a complete pump/motor assembly get WD26X10013.
The main conduit was broken and the pump connector had a hole in it. The pump also was showing signs of leaking. I completely disassembled the dishwasher cleaned everything and reassembled. The repair videos are a big help. Thank you. Read more

I replaced the upper and mid spray arms and bearings, removed filters and screens and cleaned everything. Pulled pump and replaced the connector and the collection sump. This was not an obvious source of a leak. The Tower Heater Assembly Nut developed a crack over time due to heat exposure. So the leak was gradual slowly getting worse over time. It was a hairline crack that ran down one of the edges of the nut making it hard to see. In talking to a pro he said it isn't a common problem. I used lime away, vinegar, finish washer cleaner none of them worked. Finally just use Brillo on the entire cabinet interior. It came out very clean. Only needed very light scrubbing. Then replaced the severely corroded filters Riser tube and upper jet which was not turning. After this the upper arm turned perfectly silverware and glassware and silverware came out rinse very clean. Will do preventative maintenance in the future.
