This kit is used to repair a leaking pump on GE made dishwashers. For a complete pump/motor assembly get WD26X10013.
The main conduit was broken and the pump connector had a hole in it. The pump also was showing signs of leaking. I completely disassembled the dishwasher cleaned everything and reassembled. The repair videos are a big help. Thank you. Read more
Every now & then my old GE Triton dishwasher wouldn't completely drain.I had previously replaced the spring-loaded cone shaped drain valve in the back of the tub plus the check valve in the discharge hose.If your dishwasher is old like mine replace these as mine were shot. As per the owners manual to get it to drain you restart it then push & hold the start button 'til the lamp flashes & it should drain. The repair is fairly straightforward. Remove the Phillips head screws on the interior of the door to access the back of the Escutcheon. Note that the bottom 2 screws on the door are machine screws with a tighter thread. I put small clamps on the door hinges to hold the door down as it will want to pop up as soon as the weight of the interior door plastic has been removed. The primary leak was the shaft seal around the main water valve shaft. After 15 years, it had failed. The repair was not difficult, but time consuming, since you should remove the dishwasher and lay it on its back. Holding the shaft out while forcefully applying the push-on nut was the only difficult part of the repair, since the push-on nut is very tight and made of very strong metal.
