I simply removed and replaced the bake element and light bulb. The only difficulty I had was working around the open oven door. Prior to ordering parts I had pulled the pump strainer basket and cleaned it out. There was both soft and hard scale build up. The tub-to-pump hose was also pretty crusty/slimey. Still got warnings for SUDS and repeated F02 errors. Ordered parts and replaced the pump, tub-to-pump hose, interior drain hose and exterior drain hose (both hoses has some slime build up). I had the problem couple years ago I bypassed unbalance switch it worked fine for a couple years and had the same problem again so ruled out unbalanced switch. Door lock light on and checked made sure wax motor pushed out all the way too the second switch for spin check OK, so took a chance on displacement switch x2. My family loves to over load it and also replaced by passed unbalance switch and boom every thing went back to normal. Its also good to clean every thing when apart. Read more

Removed all external and internal hoses and washed in a bleach solution - ordered and replaced the drain hoses (internal and external). Absolutely odor free - like a new machine. Order low cost, inexpensive OEM parts that were shipped fast and fit perfectly. Read more

Scoped out the repair online, then ordered the parts. Anticipating problems getting an old hose off, so I ordered that as well. Glad I ordered the hose; had to cut the old one off. Tore entire machine down to get to wash drum. Found it had a broken "spider" which is common with most front load machines. The drum is stainless steel but the spider is cast aluminum and it does not do well when exposed to laundry soap. It was pretty much disintegrated as a matter of fact.
