Troubleshot the oven by checking the broiler which worked good (same fuel valve). After reading the some tips about troubleshooting the Glow Ignitor I could see the broiler ignitor got white hot and the oven ignitor only got bright orange (orange to red causes intermittent ignition or mini explosions). Watched the how to video and it was good information. You should be observant about which openings in the back of the oven as to where the two wires are coming out of. My oven is over 12 years... Found the parts on Appliance pros (love the website navigation); ordered on a Sunday afternoon and they were delivered on Tuesday afternoon. I had the drawer repaired within 15 minutes of Fed Ex delivering the package. No tools required other than my fingers! The original part was riveted to the drawer, these replacements are bolts with nuts and lock washers. Makes me wonder why this was not the original design. We watched the YouTube video appliance pros made, ordered the part from them, and installed. The part we replaced wasn't as simple as the one in the video. But with two sets of eyes we replaced one wire at a time and cut the universal knob post to size just right. Burner works as good as new. Well worth the time and effort for the cost savings. I replaced the controller. I had a heck of a time figuring out how to get to it. The video on the website showed access to the control via the rear panel. On the Kitchen Aid we have, the back panel is part of the range's main frame and does not come off. Turns out, 2 screws behind the fluorescent lamp had to be removed and the entire control panel housing lifts up and can be tilted forward.
