Googled the symptoms and realized it was probably the Start Relay. To check, I unplugged the refrigerator, took off the back panel, and pulled the old start relay off. I shook it and it rattled, like something was broken inside. That was the sign that it did indeed need to be replaced. Looked up the part on www.appliancepartpros.com and found it. There was an icicle under the ice maker. It had not been overfilling and still made ice. After removing the unit, noticed the ice tray lining was broken on the motor side. It appears the torque of the paw shaft was transfereed to the back of the tray. After lining had cracked, water seeped inbetween the lining and metal ice tray. After many freeze cycles lining delaminated and water leaked out the bottom. It didn't take long to fix but there was some time to melt the ice underneath. No place... Read more
