Black control panel assembly that forms the front interface surface for your oven. Replace if cracked, broken, or mounting tabs are damaged or missing.
I replaced the control board without much difficulty, but found original installer had broken all but one of the plastic screw receptacles embedded in the control panel cover. They had originally super-glued the plastic to the wall! Anyway, ordered the plastic control panel frame and stainless cover (our cover had been dented previously). Installation was easy, just know that after you unscrew the four retaining screws (2 on each side of control panel) you must LIFT the panel up off the... Read more
Replace your oven's left-hand door hinge to restore smooth opening and a proper seal. Fixes doors that won't close, sag, or have weak springs. Confirm fit.
The door hinge latches were bent, which made it difficult to remove the door and re-insert. The door hinge design was changed from a pin insert to a latch from the previous model. Unfortunately, the latch on the 24 inch oven is thin and easily bent, which is likely the source of the problem. I purchased spare door hinges to facilitate re-installing the oven door should I ever have problems with removing and inserting the door again. Read more
Illuminates oven interior for monitoring food without opening door. Replace when bulb burns out or flickers. High-temperature rated. Verify compatibility.
Microwave not heating? This high voltage capacitor works with the magnetron and diode to generate heat. Moderate DIY repair with proper safety precautions.
Replaced the magnetron, capacitor and diode. Symptoms of failure were change in tone/noise put out by the microwave and no heat in the item being microwaved. Could have been a failure of either the diode, capacitor or the magnetron, but I believe it was the magnetron that failed. Replaced all three. The right hand side of the housing needs to be removed to access these parts. Take lots of pictures for reference as it all comes apart, wiring, placement of the various screws, etc. Not an easy... Intermittent power or heat damage at wire connections? This terminal block nut secures wire lugs to studs for a reliable electrical connection. Quick fix.
The oven temperature was low and the heating time excessive. However, the range display showed the requested 400F, even though the oven was really 250F. Because the oven displayed an inaccurate temperature, I ordered an oven sensor, a heating element, and a terminal block. Replacing the heating element fixed the problem. The element I received was the same shape and size, but the supports were not the same. However, I think it must have been a design change after mine was manufactured... Read more
Oven light won't turn on? This light transformer steps down voltage to power your oven cavity lights. Moderate DIY repair restores illumination.
Studied schematics and watched many on-line videos. Did some electrical checks with VOM (Volt/Ohm Meter). Determined that control panel thermal fuse attached to back of control panel had opened due to high temp. Determined that the upper oven thermal fuse on back of oven had opened due to high temp. Determined that transformer that supplies power to lights was bad (open primary). Removed control panel circuit board and had it repaired/verified good. Faulty control panel was the reason that oven... Read more

Fix a microwave that won't heat or shuts off unexpectedly. This thermal cut-off thermostat protects against overheating. DIY-friendly repair.
I measured the resistance between the two connectors on the magnetron: should be close to zero ohms and it was. I measured between the same connectors and the metal case: should be mega ohms, it was 15k ohms. That is a bad, partly shorted unit. I also checked the resistance of the thermal cut off, which should be zero but was 10 ohms so I replaced. The HV diode is checked with a 9 V battery (YouTube checking microwave HV diode) and it too was bad. Make sure to take pictures as you disassemble... Read more

Left-side oven door hinge for electric wall ovens and ranges. Replaces broken, bent, or worn hinges that prevent door removal or proper closing.
The little flip-over locks on my oven door hinges were bent and broken, preventing me from removing the oven door. It took a little bit of searching to determine that my oven purchased from Ikea was actually built by Whirlpool, and finally what were the correct part numbers for both hinges. Much to the credit of AppliancePartsPros.com, they were the only site that specifically labeled these hinges as Left and Right which helped greatly - even the parts diagrams from Whirlpool were not...
