Common theme on the blogs was thermistors and or defrost heater/thermostat. Ran self-diagnostics which turned on defrost heater which was fine. All five thermistors indicated ok on diagnostic also, but I read more than one time "replace the thermistors no matter what if your FF section isn't cooling". Simply removed top door hinge held in place with a screw and two small 5/16 inch bolts . Lifted the door off bottom hing . Replaced old cam riser with new cam riser . Replaced refridgerator door and top hinge . Adjusted door height with 5/16 wrench matching it with deepfreeze door . Patted myself on back for such a good repair job . Lol . I watched several videos to identify the problem, worn/broken cam riser on bottom door hinge. I ordered parts from AppliancePartsPros.com to replace the cam. Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong part due to the pitiful GE door assembly diagram and parts description I was unable to complete the repair. Replaced the yellowed handles with new white ones and matching trim. The genuine GE replacements were not a 100% perfect fit but you can only tell if you're looking up close. Read more
