• Won't start

Refrigerator made a clicking sound in box connected to compressor. Googled it and found the reason could be the 2 parts I ordered. Replaced them and it runs fine now. Read more

Changed fan motor, rubber grommets, and dust cover. It sounded like the vibrating sound was being caused by the motor. But, come to find out I had a chipped blade on one of the fan blades. This was a two and half year issue as different things failed at different times. I would get one part, then another would fail. Ultimately, I got to a point where what failed, I hadn't been ordered the part yet. The seal on the freezer door took three bathing's before it plumped up and un-creased. The directions on the box it is shipped in said to heat the seal up in hot water then cool it down with tap water. I didn't need to do that. It took a lot of massaging of the seal, but... Read more

Pop out the old switches with a putty knife pressing down on the tab, grabbed with pliers to pull out, disconnect the wires and connect new switches, pressing back in place. Read more

I changed the motherboard - computer and also changed the motor in the freezer, because it was doing a howling sound every time it turned on. The repair technician asked for $500 for a repair and that is on top of the $230 I paid him two days before. I looked up the parts and decided to try myself and it paid off. • Noisy

I had found that the fan in the freezer was making a lot of noise. Turns out the shaft was loose, causing the flan blade to wobble. Replaced the motor and fan and now it runs like a new unit. Read more

Ordered replacement seals for both freezer and refrigerator sides. Followed directions that I had found on YouTube. The installation in a nut shell is warm the seals in a bathtub with very hot water for at least 2-3hrs then place the seals. Then warm the seals with a hair dryer as needed. After getting the seals out of the hot bath the installation took all of 20-25 minutes for both seals. Read more

Check compressor with my Hotwire kit I made when I worked for GE. When removing the compressor relay it broke in pieces. Ordered and replaced new relay, overload & run capacitor. Still did not work. Check if there’s power to compressor and found no voltage. Took control board out and found a component burnt. Ordered and replaced control board. Everything is back to normal. Love your service. Replaced original (18 yrs.) 1/4" plastic tubing, clamp and grommet (AppliancePartsPros/GE parts) from outlet of ice maker water control valve to ice maker inlet. Also replaced water supply line to inlet of water control valve with new, GE braided, PEX 1/4" supply line with pre-attached female compression fittings on both ends.
