Discovered that one of the rear tub support rods (which are different than the front support rods), had permanently compressed the internal spring, requiring replacement. I also replaced the plastic rod support socket to be sure that all the components would be updated. Removing the front panel allowed me to also remove the top lid panel, enabling access to the rear rod without completely disconnecting the machine & accessing the rear panel. I ordered a new lid lock and 4 new tub support rods. The rear tub support rods were more difficult to reach and install (as you can imagine) but I was able to complete the task. The lid lock was much easier to replace, just remove 2 screws. Read more
