I replaced the solenoid, door, spring and bucket. The bucket cracked from ice freezing inside it. Ice froze inside the bucket because the solenoid stopped pulling the door closed which allowed hot humid air into the freezer. While I was in there I replaced the dispenser door, spring and crank because they are cheap and the old ones were moldy. The mold is most likely from the door not closing and causing condensation on the parts as well. Read more

Replaced the support bracket for the ice bucket. Replaced the auger motor for the ice dispenser and installed the new coupler for the microwave tray to spin. Everything works great now! Read more

I ordered the ice door assembly and a door recess spring and while I was working on that particular area the ice chute funnel that kept falling off on one side. It was all very easy, took maybe 15 mins in all. I watched the "how to" video that was posted and it was extremely helpful, giving me to confidence to do this myself. Spliced new and old power cord near the connections in the fridge and connected them. Didn't mess with the factory harnesses or connections inside actual fridge. Read more

I replaced the upper and mid spray arms and bearings, removed filters and screens and cleaned everything. Pulled pump and replaced the connector and the collection sump. Repair took about 3 hours and went very smoothly thanks to the AppliancePros video! I'm on the east coast so I could not believe it when the parts arrived less than 24 hours after I placed the order! The problem was most likely the evaporator fan motor but it could have been a bad blade, loose parts or bad motor mounts. Hard to tell without taking everything apart and inspecting. Since fridge was 17 years old I decided to order the entire evaporator fan assembly as shown in the parts diagram including fan blade, motor brackets, motor, motor mounts, screws, etc. Getting to the assembly involved removing the ice maker unit plus the entire rear inside of the freezer section. Evaporator fan motor in our freezer was bad. Ordered new one with 2 day delivery and had it in 2 days. Thankfully it was very easy to get to from the front of the freezer. There are 3 different options for same motor with different wire harnesses. I bought the cheapest option and then snipped and reconnected the wires to the existing harness. That saved us $50. I ordered a replacement auger from AppliancePartsPros.com. Upon receipt of the new auger, I watched the repair video and took the ice crusher apart. I found several other parts that needed to be replaced as well. Once All the parts were received, I again watched the video.
