The repair was quite simple. Once the plate holding the element was off just unhook the wires and attach the new element. The issues were the wires are tight and had to hold onto the wires so they did not go into the back of the range. Also had to use a pair of needle nose pliers to get the wires off of the element. I unplugged the oven and then removed the back panel. Next I started started removing cables from the old control board one by one, being careful to plug them into the same place on the new board. There were some slight differences in where some cables were located, but the ports are labeled and you can just match it that way. Then I applied the new faceplate to the new control board. My son-in-law helped me. He pulled the liner open enough that he could see he just had to tighten up the existing screw on the door handle.. The oven door was open and the wife fell onto the door. After that, the door would not close all the way and hung lower than it should.
