It went from repair to redo/customize quickly. As the mixer was old, but had sentimental value. I completely took apart the kitchen aid mixer. Unscrewed the cover (just one screw using socket wrench), disconnected 4 cables, reconnected replacement part, re-covered unit. Done in < 5 minutes!
Only 2 hurdles I had were:
- green ground wire was difficult to pull off of old part. Had to use a small screwdriver to help pry it loose from connector.
