I checked element on freezer was good using ohm meter for continuity,only logical solution was defrost timer and thermostat.I always replace timer and thermostat together as both were original parts and either one or both may have been worn and for the extra money worth just replacing both at once. We were able to pinpoint the parts that were not working properly and with the wonderful photographs and diagrams from Appliance Parts Pros, were able to order the proper parts ~ the ice door fountain kit and the fountain bracket.
