This was an easy fix on my Jenn-Air: I just had to lift the cooktop out of the counter and then take out a few screws around the sides of the unit to lift off the old glass surface. Then just set the new glass top in place and put the screws back. The burners, etc. are not connected to the glass cooktop so you don't have to do disconnect/connect them or any other internal parts. Replaced It With New One Read more
I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business. Read more
