The Handle End Cap is an OEM part for GE ranges. This part plays a role in capping the ends of the range handle, allowing a seamless and aesthetically pleasing finish while also preventing injuries by covering potentially sharp edges.
Causes of a bad handle end cap include physical impact, frequent cleaning that leads to wear, or degradation due to exposure to kitchen grease and heat.

1) Opened package, 2) unwrapped end-caps, 3) broke off guide pieces with pliers, 4) inserted caps in both end of handle, 4) unscrewed 6 Phillip screws to remove oven-door fascia, 4) unscrewed two end-cap retainer bolts with nut driver to release remnants of broken end-caps, 5) re-inserted bolts back through the oven door engaging the new end-caps on each end, 6) tightened bolts while begging the new end-caps not to break, 7) positioned fascia back over the oven door, 8) restored the 6 screws to... LITE above HI, 3/8" D stem flat down
Put oven control and checked several temperatures. Oven is precisely accurate . Knobs on front work well but one has an inside piece which keeps falling out.
