Burner Valve (270°)
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB21K10101

This 270° burner valve controls gas flow to a single cooktop or range burner, restoring predictable flame adjustment and reliable ignition so you can cook safely and accurately. What it does:

  • Regulates gas flow to the burner so flame height responds to the control knob
  • Enables proper ignition and consistent flame during use
  • Common symptoms indicating a faulty valve: burner won't light, flame stays too low or high, or burner only lights intermittently
  • Stops gas flow when set to off to help prevent unintended flow
What's included:
  • One 270° burner valve
Install notes:
  • Turn off gas supply and power to the appliance before replacing the valve
  • Use appropriate wrenching tools and avoid torqueing valve fittings; follow OEM torque guidance if available
  • After installation, check all connections for leaks (soap-and-water test) and verify correct burner operation

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The cooktop left two switches not activating module (no ticking) intermittent back/ front burner not lighting.   Erik E. • Upland , CA • November 30, 2022

Cleaned/ soaked all burners in Ammonia and scraped off the remaining with a pumice stone. Oiled all screws. Replaced (4) ignitors or electrodes and module kit/ right front burner/ burner switch harness. Although this was the third order of switches from 3 different places including the local supplier due to the switches being manufactured upside down and lit on low on the first attempt. (Since I was going to have to open it up again to either repair or remove and return the upside-down harness... Read more

Grate Cast Hairpin Assembly (Single)
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB31K10260

A cast hairpin assembly that secures the cooktop grate on select GE ranges, restoring a stable grate for safer, more consistent cooking. Installs quickly to replace a worn or damaged grate retainer. What it does:

  • Secures and holds the cooktop grate in place to prevent shifting or wobbling during use.
  • Restores proper grate seating so cookware sits level and stable.
  • Common replacement when the grate feels loose, shifts while cooking, or will not seat correctly.
  • Cast construction resists wear from regular use and heat exposure near burners.
What's included: One Grate Cast Hairpin Assembly. Install notes:
  • Ensure the range is off and the cooktop is cool before starting work.
  • Remove the grate and inspect the retainer area; position the new hairpin and seat the grate.
  • Basic hand tools may be helpful; most replacements are straightforward but avoid forcing parts.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Abused stovetop.   Kate K. • Sterling , VA • April 04, 2020

The previous owners of my condo were not the cleanest or gentlest of people. The cast iron grates that cover my gas burners were scratched and dented. Huge chunks were missing from them. I mean, how does that even happen?! The drip trays below the burners looked like they had been through the war. No amount of scrubbing and buffing could make them look new again. So I gave up! And bought new! My stove looks awesome! And the prices I got here were the best! Read more
