The Vent Grille is an OEM part for GE microwaves. This grille is mounted on the exterior of the microwave, typically above the door, and serves as a protective cover for the ventilation system. It allows air to flow into and out of the microwave.
Causes of damage to the Vent Grille often involve accidental impacts, such as hitting the grille with kitchen utensils or other objects, or natural degradation from heat and grease exposure over time.

I removed the two screws at the top of the microwave and cleared the slots the new grille vent would fit in. Once that was complete the new grille vent fit nicely in to place and I installed the screws back in the top and the job was done. Read more

I goggled why my microwave would not heat and found an article on Appliance pros of 3 possibilities. 2 easy to fix..so I started with the first one which was the door switches. First off this appliance is 16 years old. The replacement machine is no longer made in the color we need, also the new ones rated very poorly. I purchased two lamp sockets and two lamp bulbs and fixed the microwave myself. It took approximately 25 minutes to change out the sockets and put the new bulbs in. My lights on my microwave are working perfectly and I couldn't be happier. Read more

Called appliancepartspros for some help.They suggested the noise filter was bad I also checked the thermostats found one of them bad.Replaced both items did bring unit back to life but still would not heat,it appears there are problems with the megatron also found some burnt wires on the transformer took it to the repair shop.Would not have got that far if it had not been for the appliancepartspros giving me some help.
