Found the correct USA made OEM part from Appliance Pros, and installed it on my new Dishwasher. The use of this correctly manufactured Adapter prevented any damage to the threads of the dishwashers inlet solenoid valve which is made of a plastic material. We scoured the web and there are few references to this so I want to add it in case it helps. Replacing hinges solved the popping opening issue.
