I recently shattered the outer glass on my Whirlpool oven door. (Side note for lesson learned...don't swat at a fly with a broom when its on the oven door. I didnt swing hard just a love tap but thats all it took ha ha) The toughest part of the fix was removing the broken glass as it had shattered into hundreds...no thousands of pieces. Removed control panel. This is done by removing the two trim strips, one screw each strip by opening oven door to expose screw at the inside bottom of each trim piece close to the bottom of door opening. Control panel has two screws that are exposed when trim strips are removed. The hard part is getting the top of the panel removed from hidden slip over hold down fasteners behind the top of panel.
