This replacement glide restores smooth, supported movement for a refrigerator or freezer drawer. It prevents catching and uneven travel so drawers open and close reliably and stay properly aligned. What it does
I first needed to remove the panel that held the glide. I had to pull the stove out to access the back retaining screw (1/4 inch hex head). Then I had to remove the screw in the front of the stove. However, I used a square bit to remove the screw. I used a block of wood to tap the glide out of the sheet metal panel holding the glide. I used the block of wood to tap in the glide as well. I had to tap the glide into position so the glide and hole in the panel matched. Read more
Original Frigidaire Part.
Unplugged old control panel and plugged in replacement. 5 different colored wires slid easily onto metal prongs. Long plastic piece with thin prongs had to be pried up with screwdriver. You will also need plastic face plate. I was able to peel old one and reuse it. Used razor blade to cut adhesive. Oven clicked back on as soon as it was plugged back in. I purchased the lens cover from your on-line store. It came within the week. I was able to change the lens cover without any problems. My husband takes care of things like this for me at home, but this cover was for my mother's oven. I broke the one she had when I was cleaning her oven and changing the bulb. Read more
