Replaced element, but new one had higher current rating requiring changeout of control circuit board making price much higher than for element alone. Note that this was with every parts dealer for this machine. Changing circuit board was easy, am former techie, hard part was getting access to rear of dishwasher. To eliminate ordering parts that are working, I went to hardware store to get a multimeter to test and confirmed the continuity of the themal fuse and the door switches are working. Saw another reviewer post a similar problem and I went with the solution by replacing the panel-ctl. Ordered the part, replaced it after receiving the delivery package, turned the breaker back on, ran a test cycle, et voila, it works as new.
