This was my first time fixing an appliance. After reading up on several reviews I concluded that the problem I had was likely the Control Panel (the front panel with the buttons) or the Main Board. This dishwasher heating element is for stainless steel tubs only. Includes a new computer board that needs to be replaced along with the element. For plastic tubs use W10518394.
Replaced element, but new one had higher current rating requiring changeout of control circuit board making price much higher than for element alone. Note that this was with every parts dealer for this machine. Changing circuit board was easy, am former techie, hard part was getting access to rear of dishwasher.
