The lid shut-off switch is located behind the lid How About That. I order the plastic ball the hold the lid in place plus the lid shut off switch. I watched the video that AppliancePartsPros.com has on how to replace the lid and the plastic balls. I removed the lid to get to the two philips head screws to remove that part of the shut-off switch. I took the new switch out of the package and compared it to the old switch. Found the wonderful parts diagrams you most generously share online and a couple of YouTube videos . I determined it should be repairable. In my cast the agitator shaft was frozen (rusted) in place. I was very fortunate to have been able to eventually remove it with the use of a lot of BP penetrating oil and heat. Long and short the replacement parts fit perfectly and the washer is running like new. Special thanks to the online support make my repair possible. Read more

I emailed appliancepartspros.com with what my problem was and they informed me what was wrong they gave me a part number to order, tools needed and a brief explanation how replace the seal. they also have online video's for different repairs. I watched the video for lip seal(part # 207843) replacement.I also had to remove the brake assembly in order to replace the seal so I watched that video also. This was a very easy fix. Two screws to get the front off of the washer. Removed one side of the tensioner spring. Loosened two screws for the motor and two screws for the pump. I decided to replace the agitate belt even though it wasn't broken.. So, I removed that belt from the pulleys and the removed the broken belt. then just reversed the process to install the belts. it toke me less than 30 minutes and my washer was back in service. Check the power cord connection to the stove and found burned cable due to loose connection. Replaced the terminal and the nuts and installed a new power cord. Read more

Not one to patch a job, I ordered all seal kit, bearing kit, new shaft keeper, transmission oil, spanner wrench. I have the newer version of the agitator shaft so it does not have the groove for the internal clip. I Custom ground a thick washer so that as the agitator shaft goes into the transmission it fit flush into the slot for the old style shaft clip. The collar pin sheared off in the transmission of my Maytag washer. Watching on-line videos of removing the transmission looked like major project. With the front panel removed, you can repair the transmission without removing it from the washer. Remove the front panel, lay the washer on its back, rotate the transmission assembly so the cover is up. Unbolt and remove the cover, put a pan under the transmission and rotate it to drain the oil. I ordered parts from appliance parts pro at 3:30 on Friday and they were delivered at bout noon on Saturday the next day. Took the machine apart removed the old pads.
