Defrost issues or ice buildup? This thermostat retainer clip secures the defrost thermostat to the evaporator for accurate temperature sensing.
Hex washer head screw for dishwashers. Secures door panels, control boards, latches, and internal components. Replace if missing, stripped, or damaged.
Replaced the control board after removing the inner door liner, plastice board cover and board itself, by removing screws, working various plastic clips/tabs and unclipping wire harnesses from board. most of time was spent cleaning the black soot from the door, which had a terrible burnt electrical/plastic fire smell. Silicone lubricant conditions rubber seals and O-rings in appliances. Apply during service to ease installation and prevent leaks. Confirm fit by model.
It was a relatively easy fix and the video instructions on this site provided were helpful. The one piece that wasn't clear is the alumilastic was already on the replacement part so a separate tube is not required. That wasn't clear on the video and was an unneeded expense. Read more
