Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP22002059

This genuine replacement screw secures the baffle in place to keep internal components aligned and reduce rattling or movement. It restores proper fit and helps maintain normal operation and water flow direction. What it does:

  • Fastens and holds the baffle or shield securely to the appliance body or mounting bracket
  • Prevents a loose or vibrating baffle that can cause noise during operation
  • Keeps internal parts aligned for proper water spray/airflow where applicable
  • Simple hardware replacement to restore secure mounting after a stripped or missing screw
What's included: One replacement screw as shown Install notes:
  • Turn off power to the appliance before beginning work
  • Match this screw to the original part number and length before installation
  • Use the correct screwdriver or driver bit to avoid stripping the head
  • If threads are damaged or mounting hole is stripped, repair or use the appropriate insert per OEM guidance

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Front washer baffle had screws rusted off in it   Monica B. • Oakes , ND • April 16, 2017

Ordered new baffle and the proper screws with help from appliance parts pros. Took washer apart. Removed soap dispenser cover, washer door, front, lifted top lid, removed seal to be able to access area to get screws in and tightened with a wrench. This part wasn't the easiest as there wasn't much room for my hand(s) to fit in, but just took my time and got it done. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Noisy spin cycle   Gregory E. • Halifax , PA • April 17, 2017

I just wanted to put my experience here for all to see. I have a Maytag Neptune, MAH5500BWW, one of the original ones. I bought it back in 2002 and it has done many many loads of wash faithfully. So when the bearings started to get loud I thought it best to replace them, the seal kit and the belt. I did my research as best I could and decided to order the OEM parts from an appliance supplier. If you are replacing the bearings, watch on line videos prior to performing the job. It will... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Maytag Neptune new bearing install   Michael W. • Fort Myers , FL • February 21, 2019

Pulled apart machine to get to bearings. Used a puller to get old bearings out. Cleaned the bearing chute then pressed new bearing in along with spacer that I ordered from AppliancePartsPros.com. Replaced tub seal then reassembled machine. Machine worked great for first few loads, then began making a clicking/thumping noise. When I turned the tub by hand, I could replicate this noise. Figuring the bearings did not go in properly, I opened back panel and removed the belt and pulley. I... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Washer would not spin out clothes at final cycle   Melissa D. • Sullivan , IN • March 15, 2016

Once we found the hidden 'Troubleshooting Guide' in the control panel, we were able to run a diagnostic check on it. A voltmeter was VERY helpful, and after running through the steps, found that the "inertial unbalance switch" was bad. It was easy to get to by removing the door, front panel, and then lifting the top off...it is attached to the top of the tub. One screw needed removed from the switch, and then I slid the old one off and the new on! *I must say, it took longer to figure out... Read more
