Did not know if these were the right parts. I believe i talked to someone named Robin and she was very helpful and friendly. Said she wasn't sure these were the parts since they were not listed on my model number but said if they didn't work i could send them back. been to many parts stores and nobody could find these two items or even suggest them. I just wanted to put my experience here for all to see. I have a Maytag Neptune, MAH5500BWW, one of the original ones. I bought it back in 2002 and it has done many many loads of wash faithfully. So when the bearings started to get loud I thought it best to replace them, the seal kit and the belt. I did my research as best I could and decided to order the OEM parts from an appliance supplier. Once we found the hidden 'Troubleshooting Guide' in the control panel, we were able to run a diagnostic check on it. A voltmeter was VERY helpful, and after running through the steps, found that the "inertial unbalance switch" was bad. It was easy to get to by removing the door, front panel, and then lifting the top off...it is attached to the top of the tub. Basically rebuilt the washer from the ground up. Spent more money than a new washer but we have been so happy with the way this machine has worked over the last 19 years figured it would be money well spent. Read more

Opened the washer (details later) and noted the controls and water path. Ordered dispenser bottom and cover and dispenser valve assembly and rubber washers. When the parts arrived I removed the top portion of the detergent dispenser assembly; removed the door and 2 screws from opposite door wall; snap open the front cover and lifted it off; removed 1 metal screw each from the bottom front corners of the top cover; lifted the top cover and used a piece of wood to hold it up; pull... Drain pump motor burned up, melting the electrical connector. Got a wiring harness from eBay and cut/spliced connector. Got pump from these guys and installed it. Then got "FL" error (door failed to lock). Got chassis wiring info to meter wiring harness through lock solenoid from these guys, and it checked good.
