Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You One of my springs was corroded i decided to replace both for even suspension   Eberhard K. • Huntington Beach , CA • October 18, 2016

I had to do this by myself and I knew the drum assembly is very heavy. I had watched a video online where they used a strap to hold up the drum. However, my drum had nothing to hook to. So, since I had the front and back off, I slid a 2x4 under the drum from front to back, supported the front of the 2x4, and then lifted the drum with a hydraulic floor jack from the back. After raising the drum the appropriate height, exchanging the springs was very easy..... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You A failed drain hose   Sam R. • Tomball , TX • November 23, 2014

Sears didn't have the parts and neither did the local suppliers. I was told it would be 1 week to 10 days delivery unless I pay for express delivery. I decided to search on line. Fortunately for me I found appliance parts pro. They had the part and it was delivered in less than 48 hours. That, msg for providing a quality product at a fair price. Excellent service. Read more

Door Boot Seal (Bellow, Diaphragm)
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: 34001302

This flexible door boot seal lines the washer's door opening and seals the gap between the tub and front panel, helping keep wash water contained and preventing leaks from the front of the machine.

  • Creates a watertight seal between the outer tub and front panel/door opening
  • Helps prevent leaks during fill, wash, and spin cycles
  • Flexible design maintains the seal as the door opens and closes
  • Common failure signs: water on the floor near the door, drips from the front, visible rips/cracks, or a loose/deformed gasket; persistent mildew buildup around the boot
What's included: 1 rubber door boot seal Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and turn off water before servicing
  • Remove the front/door panel as needed, then release the outer and inner retaining bands to remove the old boot
  • Note orientation marks and any hose/port locations; seat the new boot evenly all the way around before refitting clamps
  • After reassembly, run a short fill/rinse and check the door area for leaks

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Loud banging on fast spin cycle and smoke the first time we heard the banging   Salim A. • Chantilly , VA • February 23, 2016

Per google and this site, the symptoms of the machine were identical to what was described for a corroded / broken spider. I followed the instructions from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFXp2X99mQs and took apart my machine. It wasn't the exact model, but more than 90% of the instructions and parts were the same. If you've done any type of work on cars (changing brakes, oil change), you should be able to do this without any problems. You'll need a ratchet set, screw drivers,... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You ND error code on NFW7200TW Amana front loader   Perry T. • Plainwell , MI • January 03, 2019

Ultimately, I blew through the hose that attaches to the pressure switch. There was initially significant back pressure and then it blew free. Prior to this, I replaced the pressure switch, the main control board, and the pump. All of those were likely unneeded, but unfortunately no web links indicated this particular fix and Amana support was no help. I was very satisfied with the cost of parts on this site and the instructional video links. Just wish I had know to check for clog in the... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Nd error code   Ed V. • Ripon , CA • February 09, 2015

I verified that there were no drain line obstructions. Checked the ohms across the pump motor. Ran the washer through the diagnostics test. Determined that the main control board must be the problem. Washer would run until the spin cycle. It would pump down and continue pumping even though there was no water. Would not advance to spin. It would time out and flash the nd code. I was able to get it to run by shutting it off, turning back on and selecting the spin only button. Thought I would try... Read more
