This electromechanical cycle timer controls the sequence and duration of wash, rinse and spin functions so the washer completes selected cycles correctly. Replacing a failed timer restores cycle advancement and timing control. What it does:

Rotates selector cams to switch motor, valves and pump circuits during the wash cycle
Advances machine through wash, rinse and spin steps when functioning properly
Commonly used when cycles don't advance, settings have no effect, or the washer stops mid-cycle
Works with the washer's existing controls and wiring harness to coordinate operations

Disconnect power before servicing to avoid shock or injury
Verify knob or control shaft alignment and transfer any mounting hardware from the old timer
