Ordered the new o-rings for the pump housing and main filter screen unit. Cleaned all water hardness and other debris out of all parts. Main filter and inside parts clogged with water hardness/limescale and other debris. The 3" wide round filter internal was completely clogged with debris and some of the filter holes we crystallized with water limescale. Got my son to fix it for me. He had to pull the dishwasher out from under the counter to reach the remaining part of the door latch. He removed the spring mechanism and placed it onto the new replacement latch and replaced the single screw holding the latch onto the dishwasher. Took him about half an hour. It's good to have sons! This dishwasher door seal is used on some Amana, Maytag, Magic Chef, Crosley, Samsung, Admiral and Jennair dishwashers.

To get to it, the dishwasher has to be removed and positioned face-down (drain first, use towels/drop-cloth). Read more
Found the retaining clip on the parts list. Watched the videos to figure out how the upper arm attaches. Tried cleaning out the terribly clogged upper arm. Then looked at the lower wash arm--WOW! Talk about ugly clogs! Watched second video to see how that lower arm comes off. Got the lower arm off and realized all the gunk I was able to poke out of the holes would just come back, so replaced both spray arms. YES, the upper arm includes the retaining clip!! Replaced old timer with new, factory timer. Took 20 minutes. Works like new. The parts were the exact replacement, not generic (universal). After ordering, the part arrived in 2 days. That's hard to beat! Read more
Replaced the heater element, per the video. Also had to connect a new terminal to one of the heater element wires. Once the heater was again connected electrically, the washer completed the entire wash cycle without hesitation. (During the time that the heater element was non-functional, the control "dial" would stop near the bottom, about half way through the cycle, and had to be advanced "one click" manually).
