I wasn't sure if the problem was going to be the key pad or the electronic control board, so I ordered both parts. The key pad fixed the problem, so I will be returning the control board. I had a bit of concern because I wasn't sure how the ribbon cable connector worked, but it turned out to be pretty easy. Ordered the part. Arrived the next day. Took the eleven screws off the door exposing the back of the Soap/Rinse Aid dispenser. Six screws hold it on the inside of the door. Popped off easily. There is a plug that runs from the timer to the dispenser…it's a pain to get off. Use a flat head screw driver. Screwed the new unit in place. Plugged it in. Put the door back together. I accidentally caught the door catch in the door and screwed it together seizing it...so I had to take the top screws off... Read more

Part I ordered was not the problem. The corners of the dishwasher were loaded with garbage, grease and other foodstuffs. I digitally cleaned out the corners, re-seated the door seal and used a cleaner in the machine. Did two courses of cleaning. Also needed to clean the pump screen and top of the pump. Lots of junk there. All of this fixed the leaking and the junk on the dishes. Hardest part was loosening the duct from the top impeller to the pump. Read more

To get to it, the dishwasher has to be removed and positioned face-down (drain first, use towels/drop-cloth). Read more
