Dryer drum won't spin or turn? A failed drive motor is often the cause. This motor drives the belt that rotates the drum. Moderately difficult repair.
At first I changed the rollers but that did not fix the problem so I suspected the motor. Purchased the motor then the blower wheel would not come off. The metal sleeve in the middle of the blower wheels was on the motor so tight that the plastic wheel was just spinning on it. Bought a blower wheel and used a hole saw to cut the old wheel off. Luckily, the hole in the fan shroud that the motor shaft goes through is big enough that I was able to slide the motor out with the metal sleeve still on... Read more

Replaces a broken, cracked, or missing lint screen door cover on your dryer. Installs on the lint filter assembly to restore proper closure.
Open dryer door. Remove four Phillip head screws that hold lint assembly together. Two inside and two on the outside. There is also a hex head screw behind the front panel. To get at it I removed the four hex heads at bottom of front panel and four star head screws on left side of front panel.
