Ordered Bake Element, Y04100019 (Whirlpool AP4283614) to replace a broken bake element on my 30-year old Jenn-Air Model S125 Downdraft Slide-in electric range. Received the element very quickly but it had been damaged in shipping. Called AppliancePartsPros to report this and they quickly shipped another element - very easy process. To install the element, I turned off the power to the range, put on rubber gloves (just in case) and removed the two sheet metal crews at the rear of the oven -... Read more

Bought and installed new hinges. Repair took about an hour but I also cleaned all the glass inside and out on both oven doors. I had ordered extra screws as I read the old ones that hold the hinges were hard to get in as they were self taping but the screw labeled 5 next to the hinge were not the right ones. All old screws worked fine. You just need to put a little power to them to get them started. Easy repair. Read more

Relpaced both sets of gas lines/burners. They came with Natural gas orafaces preinstalled, so I backed them out with a wrench and reused my LP orafaces instead. Worked like a dream should. Orafaces were snug, taking out and putting in, but they are coated with some sort of pipe sealer. Maybe took 30 minutes to remove, swap orafaces, then replace the new parts. Works perfectly! This is the left hand assembly.
Replaced the lines, however the model maytag I was working un is a poor design. When you lift the top up to access the lines, you are putting pressure on the gas lines. If you lift it up, then down several times; then you risk bending the tubing and it will break. My recomendation is for do-it-yourselfers to lift it, install it, and close it in one step so you don't bend or break the lines again. Hope this helps. Brian Read more

I ordered a new door glass from appliancepartspro.com it came within two days, but I forgot to order the 8 pieces of foam tape, assuming it would also be included in with the order, it wasn't, so after waiting for that to arrive, it was fairly easy, job after watching the video. However, the video doesn't tell you the painted side goes on the inside, or that the single sided foam tape goes on the top, and the double sided foam tape goes on the sides, I figured that out from the diagram on my... A shoulder screw that secures appliance components and provides a precise pivot or spacer point. Replaces a missing or worn screw to restore alignment, reduce rattling, and keep panels and assemblies securely in place. What it does:
I had to remove the oven door, which I learned is made to come off without tools. Then took out the bottom by removing two screws and lifting. Removed the screws attaching the igniter, pulled wires thru back until I could get the connector and disconnect. When the new igniter arrived, I had to change the connector. I cut the one off the old one, and spliced to the new one using solder and shrink tubing. Just reverse the procedure to install. I replaced the screws with new ones. Read more
