Another sign is if the dryer continues to run after the clothing inside is dry. Unplug the dryer from its power source prior to replacing this component. The person performing this task may wish to wear work gloves to protect their hands. The moisture sensor control board is compatible with dryers that are manufactured by Kenmore, KitchenAid, Kenmore Elite, Whirlpool, Amana, Crosley, Maytag, Inglis, Sears Canada, Roper, and Sears. This part is sold individually and it is a genuine OEM replacement part that comes straight from the manufacturer.
Did some research via the internet and figured the problem was likely the moisture control board. Watched a video of the repair of a similar unit in order to locate the moisture control board. Used the chat feature with one of the Appliance Parts Pros to get a schematic of the dryer and advice about where to use the putty knife to release the springs for access to the board. Thanks to the lady I chatted with for expert advice. Once the actual task was started, the repair took 15 or 20... Read more

The splines inside the bottom agitator that are supposed to fit snug with the agitator shaft were worn down and couldn't catch the shaft anymore. I removed the entire agitator then pulled the top agitator part off of the lower agitator part. I then replaced the lower agitator with the new one I purchased and kept the old top agitator part (the top part was still in good condition and didn't need replacing, although I did replace the "agitator dogs" because they're very cheap and figured it... This brake release cam works with the washer's brake assembly to disengage the brake during spin and re-engage it at stop. Replacing a worn cam restores smooth basket spin and reduces squeal or grinding at spin transitions.
First I looked at the many you tube vids, and there are many. appliance parts pros pretty much shows you how to deal with the parts. I think that brake lockup or improper brake release was the problem that broke the plastic cam driver. This was the broken plastic part making all the ticking noise. I first changed the coupling on the motor but that wasn't bad. in... Read more
