Simple repair. Purchased the new ice tray "grill", snapped the old one out and threw it away, and then snapped the new one it. Took all of 15 seconds and makes the whole refrigerator look like new again. Money well spent! Read more

I checked element on freezer was good using ohm meter for continuity,only logical solution was defrost timer and thermostat.I always replace timer and thermostat together as both were original parts and either one or both may have been worn and for the extra money worth just replacing both at once. We were able to pinpoint the parts that were not working properly and with the wonderful photographs and diagrams from Appliance Parts Pros, were able to order the proper parts ~ the ice door fountain kit and the fountain bracket. The limit switch would get "stuck" in the on position so I changed that. Also changed the actuator pad for good measure as I mine was worn and dirty. You'll need a T15 driver (torx) to access the panel, then a small phillips screwdriver to remove the limit switch. This fix takes about 10-15 minutes. Dispenser functions properly now, shutting off when released. No more spillage. Read more
