Ordered the shaft, bearing, seal kit. I didn’t order the tool to press the bearings in. If you’re not experienced in changing bearings, I suggest you order it. Straight forward repair. The top of my Whirlpool Cabrio comes off differently than the video showed, everything else was spot on. The adhesive is tacky...wear surgical gloves, trust me. I listen very carefully and looked up on line many items that may cause it. One thing, along with the knock was a ting like noise. Like tapping on the sheet metal of the machine. Replacement lid hinge for top-load washers. Mounts between the lid and cabinet. Replace when bent, twisted, rusted through, or cracked from wear.
I replaced a broken part which attaches the hinge to the lid spring assembly and replaced both hinges which were twisted/bent. The springs themselves were ok but a part in the assembly had broken so one spring was shouldering the entire weight of the lid and the hinges had twisted. This machine is not that old and it seems as though the glass lid is a little too heavy for the hinges. Two 5-foot nylon braided hoses connect household water supply to washer inlet valves. Replace cracked, leaking, or aging hoses to prevent water damage.

I had a problem with the drain pump on my Kenmore HE3 and I replaced it using a drain pump I ordered from APP.
