This retainer is a small mounting clip that secures internal components in place to prevent movement and vibration. It helps maintain proper alignment so the appliance runs quietly and parts stay positioned. What it does:

This water level pressure switch senses air pressure from the tub and signals the control to stop filling at the correct level. Replacing a weak or failed switch restores proper filling, helps prevent over/underfilling, and allows cycles to advance.
The error code indicated the washer wasn't getting any water, although the basket was filling to an unusually high level. After checking the inlet hoses and their connections but without opening the top cover to see the actual water level pressure switch, I went ahead and ordered the part. After receiving the switch, I opened the cover and found the original switch had fallen off it's mounting (for who-knows how long ago) and was resting against the drum. The water sensor electrical plug had fallen off due to the extreme vibration of the internal stainless steel clothes basket. The attachment struts had corroded, broken off and sent small pieces into the discharge pump which, in turn, had plugged up and caused the beeping. This is not a simple repair. I wasn't sure what parts I needed so I ordered the new handle and bracket. The handle is what I needed and it came with a bracket, so the single bracket wasn't need to complete the installation. Replacing the handle and bracket is easy and it works like new. I am able to send back the part that I didn't need. Thanks so much for making it easy and the parts affordable. Read more
