Replaced timer. timer arrived very quickly, before time noted on tracking. did notice, when pulled unit from box, it had been used or tried to be used in another application. one tab on left side looking down on timer was bent down. as soon as i tried to pull it up, it snapped off. no issue though, as this did not really affect the plug in harness at all. also noticed scrape marks on plug prongs. upon install, i noticed another prong broken off, it's one that helps hold the timer in place. i... I had a lot of problems removing the spin hub, I had to use an air impact wrench to un screw it even then it was very hard, it did not go easy with the hammer & pipe wrench as shown in the video. It was also very hard to remove the bottom spin bearing I had to cut the bearing retainer with a dremel tool so I could get my puller on it. Replaced all seals, unfortunately it is still leaking. I can see where it is leaking from. I am going to tear it back down use some ultra grey gasket maker and reinstall tub gasket. Hoping that works. If it still leaks I will be using the washer as a large paper weight. Read more
I flipped my washing machine upside down and disconnected my washing machine belt. After that I hand spun each component individually. I realized while spinning my water pump it was chirping. So I got on AppliancePartsPros website and typed in my washer model. It brought me to my machines part list and I selected a new water pump. My Maytag washer make a loud screech when the washer tub needed to be stopped by the brake. Last year, I had replaced the suspension springs, the snubber ring, the drive belt and the drain pump. Those repairs worked fine, but a few weeks later, the screeching noise started. So I figured it was the brake system.
