Flood Switch Seal (Dishwasher)
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WD01X10264

This dishwasher flood switch seal sits around the flood/leak switch to create a watertight barrier at the switch opening. Replacing a cracked or flattened seal helps stop under-unit drips and keeps leak detection working properly.

  • Forms a watertight seal where the flood switch mounts
  • Helps prevent water from entering the base pan
  • Common signs include water under the unit or visible wear on the old seal
What's included: One flood switch seal. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off the water supply before servicing
  • Remove the toe-kick; pull the unit forward if needed to access the flood switch
  • Release the flood switch, remove the old seal, and seat the new seal evenly—do not overtighten
  • Reassemble and run a short fill/rinse while checking closely for leaks

Door Spring
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WD03X10022

The front door of a dishwasher is operated in part by the use of door springs. There are typically two door springs on most models. The door spring helps the user open and shut the door efficiently. If the door springs are worn out or broken, a replacement part is required.A visual inspection will determine if a door spring is missing, damaged, or worn out. If the dishwasher door no longer opens and closes smoothly, it's an indication that a repair is required. Replacing a dishwasher door spring is a straightforward process. Locate the existing springs and remove them. Line up the new door springs and hook the ends into place. Wear gloves for protection. Disconnect the dishwasher before starting the replacement. This door spring is an authentic OEM replacement part. It is sold individually. The component is made of durable, high-quality metal materials. The replacement door spring comes sourced directly from the manufacturer. The door spring is fitting for several different models of dishwashers. The part can be installed in General Electric, Hotpoint, and RCA devices.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You GE dishwasher the automatic soap dispenser went bad   Diane H. • West Creek , NJ • February 13, 2017

My repair went really great! I now have a new automatic soap dispenser that costs me only $60 to buy the part. I guess I would have paid at least $150 if not more to have a repair guy come in and do it but the video was just amazing! I did it myself and my husband could not believe it! When he came home from work he was already to "get it done" but I had beat him too it. Great site! I ordered the part and watched the video which was VERY easy to follow. I will always look here for parts... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaking water   Stephen M. • Vineland , NJ • April 19, 2021

This was not an obvious source of a leak. The Tower Heater Assembly Nut developed a crack over time due to heat exposure. So the leak was gradual slowly getting worse over time. It was a hairline crack that ran down one of the edges of the nut making it hard to see. In talking to a pro he said it isn't a common problem. It is all the way in the back of the bottom of the dishwasher so it is not something you can see without pulling the dishwasher out and running it. The repair itself is easy. I... Read more

Lower Spray Arm Bearing
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WD01X10107

This is a genuine OEM replacement lower spray arm bearing sourced directly from the manufacturer for use in dishwashers. The lower spray arm spins to distribute water to the dishes during the wash cycle. Thus spray arm bearing supports the spray arm and lessens the friction, which allows it to spin more easily. If the dishes are not clean after the wash and rinse cycle, or the arm is making loud noises, the spin arm bearing may need to be replaced. This bearing is a small metal part that may wear over time. If the bearing is distorted or damaged, the arm will not sit level, and spinning may be very loud, or it may not spin. The spray arm bearing should be replaced. Turn off the breaker or disconnect the power to the dishwasher. Open the dishwasher and pull the bottom rack out. Turn the lower spray arm counterclockwise to remove it. Use a telescoping magnet to pull the bearing up from the hole in the middle. Install the new bearing and reinstall the spray arm. Put the dishrack back inside and reconnect the power. This lower spray arm bearing is a gray metal part that is sold individually. It is designed for use in dishwashers designed by General Electric and Hotpoint.

This part fixes the following symptoms
