The inlet sump was deteriorating and pieces of it were clogging the spray arms. The gasket/seal on the bottom of the door was also deteriorated and clogging the filters. That seal was only available on a new inner door. It took a few hours because of the new inner door and I was taking my time doing extra cleaning and such. Looks as if water seeped down onto the control strip and shorted it out. There were two traces in the membrane switch ribbon cable that were blown. Considered soldering them, but removing the control strip for inspection pretty much ruined the aesthetics of it, so just ordered another. You just have to unscrew the top mount screws to free the back panel of the door from the hinged inner panel of the door. The instructions that came with replacing the detergent tank locknut were pretty clear. Separating the inner and outer surfaces of the door requires some care. The two surfaces are held together by a number of Phillips head screws. Once the two surfaces are loose, there is a ribbon cable, and a multi-pin IDC connector that connect the control panel on the front door, to the control module mounted on the inner door.
