Fine Filter Hub Nut
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WD12X10061

The Fine Filter Hub Nut is an OEM part for GE dishwashers. It secures the fine filter in place, ensuring that debris and food particles are effectively filtered out during the wash cycle, preventing them from re-entering the dishwasher tub.

Causes of a bad fine filter hub nut can include wear and tear from regular use, damage from over-tightening, or cracking due to impact. A faulty hub nut can lead to improper filtration, causing debris to circulate and potentially clog the dishwasher.

Symptoms of a bad Fine Filter Hub Nut include:

Gasket Spring
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WD03X10020

The Gasket Spring is an OEM part for GE dishwashers. It plays a crucial role in maintaining a tight seal around the dishwasher door, ensuring that water does not leak during operation. This spring helps keep the door gasket in place, providing a reliable and consistent seal.

Over time, the gasket spring can wear out, lose tension, or become damaged due to repeated use and exposure to the dishwasher’s high temperatures and moisture. A faulty spring can compromise the effectiveness of the door gasket, leading to potential leaks and inefficient washing cycles.

Symptoms of a bad gasket spring include:

  • Water leaking from the dishwasher door
  • Difficulty closing or latching the dishwasher door securely
  • Reduced cleaning performance due to improper sealing

This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Ge pdw8280j00ss dishwasher leaking at the bottom corner of the door   Ken L. • Sterling , MA • January 30, 2018

Not the first time my 10 year old dishwasher developed a leak. I have learned that the tub gasket gets dirty and the gasket spring gets weak. Cleaning and if needed replacing that solves the problem. In cleaning the tub gasket this time I notice the bottom door seal had separated from the door. It was originally riveted on. This seal is part of the door assembly and not available as a separate part. You need to buy inner door to get a new seal. Not worth it on a 10 year old appliance. BUT,... Read more

Part Number: WD01X10264

This dishwasher flood switch seal sits around the flood/leak switch to create a watertight barrier at the switch opening. Replacing a cracked or flattened seal helps stop under-unit drips and keeps leak detection working properly.

What's included: One flood switch seal. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off the water supply before servicing
  • Remove the toe-kick; pull the unit forward if needed to access the flood switch

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaking water   Stephen M. • Vineland , NJ • April 19, 2021

This was not an obvious source of a leak. The Tower Heater Assembly Nut developed a crack over time due to heat exposure. So the leak was gradual slowly getting worse over time. It was a hairline crack that ran down one of the edges of the nut making it hard to see. In talking to a pro he said it isn't a common problem. It is all the way in the back of the bottom of the dishwasher so it is not something you can see without pulling the dishwasher out and running it. The repair itself is easy. I... Read more
