Opened oven door to the fully opened position. Pulled up the the lock located on both hinge supports and engaged it in the hook of the hinge levers. You may need to apply a little downward pressure on the door to pull the locks fully over the hooks. In addition, you may need to use a flat head screwdriver to "help" engage the hinge locks over the hook. Hold the door securely on both sides (not the door handle). I found a YouTube video descibing the repair. I watched this before I began the repair, did not need to refer to it again. Took about 1.5 hours to remove and replace the glass top. Be cautious of small glass chips from cracked top. Read more
Was contemplating getting a new stove with convection oven because we can't live without a convection fan! Decided to look up parts for the oven and you guys prices for parts was outstanding! Ordered a new clock/timer control. This was very easy to install the real trick was removing about 8 wires and 4 plug in connectors from the board and then reinstalling them back in the same location as the were before. I took a photo of the board with my IPhone before taking all the wires off, this made it very easy to reinstall the wires on the same terminals as before. I tested the temp probe first and found resistance to be ok at 1088 ohms (spec is 1000 to 1100 ohms) so that pointed to the control board being faulty. The board was easy enough to replace and took about 15 minutes to do. Disconnect the plug or throw circuit breaker to off. Use gloves to guard against sharp metal edges.
