This brake release cam works with the washer's brake assembly to disengage the brake during spin and re-engage it at stop. Replacing a worn cam restores smooth basket spin and reduces squeal or grinding at spin transitions.
- Disengages the brake so the basket can spin; helps reapply the brake as the cycle ends
- Supports smooth starts and stops of the spin cycle
- Worn or damaged cams can cause no spin or intermittent spin
- Common symptoms include loud squeal/grinding at start/stop or a burning odor near the brake area
What's included: 1 brake release cam Install notes:
- Disconnect power (and water supply, if moving the washer) before service
- Access the brake/basket drive area; the brake spring is under tension—use caution and eye protection
- Note orientation of parts before removal; seat the new cam correctly
- After reassembly, run an empty spin test to verify operation

No spin every thing else worked made high speed ticking noise Anthony D. • Follansbee , WV • May 12, 2015
First I looked at the many you tube vids, and there are many. appliance parts pros pretty much shows you how to deal with the parts. I changed the brake shoes and the clutch assembly which also comes with the driver cam. I also changed the metal brake operating cam. I think that brake lockup or improper brake release was the problem that broke the plastic cam driver. This was the broken plastic part making all the ticking noise. I first changed the coupling on the motor but that wasn't bad. in...

A broken lid switch on my whirlpool stackable twin washer Joseph P. • Indialantic , FL • October 25, 2016
Fixing the problem was quite simple. First, I removed the lid assembly (thanks to the diagrams supplied by AppliancePartsPros.com!). Getting the back two screws out was very difficult because I couldn't see them from the front and I could not move the unit out of the enclosed space. After some trial and error, I located the screws which were 5/16 hex head screws and removed them with a MAGNETIC nut driver. (The magnet assures that the screw will not drop down into the mechanism). Second, I...

This is the water pump that moves water through your appliance so cycles can run correctly. Replacing a failing pump restores proper water flow and helps prevent standing water, poor performance, and leaks. What it does:
- Circulates and/or removes water as the appliance operates
- Supports proper flow so wash/rinse/drain steps can complete
- Maintains a sealed path at the pump connections to help prevent leaks
- Typical symptoms of a failing pump: standing water, weak/no water movement, loud humming or grinding from the pump area, leaks, or related drain/circulation errors
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and shut off water supply before servicing
- Have towels/containment ready; some residual water is normal when hoses are removed
- Move wires and hoses one-for-one to the new pump; tighten clamps and check any O-rings/seals
- Run a short test cycle and inspect for leaks and proper water movement

Broken lid switch Ari G. • State College , PA • June 01, 2015
Watched on line Video.
Only problem was in disconnecting wire "bus" connector from switch. I was unable to
remove connector without damaging it. I "jumped" connector to prove switch was faulty. This also allowed my wife to continue to do laundry while part arrived. I ordered a 3 circuit connector, but this was not the correct part. I ended up removing 3 wires from old broken connector and attaching them to new switch without a connector. Electrical tape did the trick. Not perfect...

This is the mechanical cycle timer that controls the sequence and duration of operations. When it fails, the appliance may stall, skip steps, or never complete a cycle. Replacing the timer restores proper cycle timing and advancement.

- Advances wash/rinse/spin or dry operations at the correct intervals
- Common failure signs: cycle won't advance, stops mid-cycle, or runs indefinitely
- Also cause incorrect timing, no start, or repeated/Skipped steps
What's included: 1 timer assembly Install notes:
- Unplug power before service; turn off water supply if applicable
- Note knob/shaft orientation and transfer wires one at a time to matching terminals
- Mount timer to console or bracket as designed; reinstall dial/knob and panel
- After installation, run a test cycle to proper advancement

This tub ring seal sits between the washer's outer tub and the tub ring. It creates a splash-resistant barrier at the top of the tub to keep wash water contained and help prevent leaks from the cabinet area.
- Seals the perimeter joint between the tub ring and outer tub
- Helps prevent water splashes from escaping during agitation and spin
- May help if you notice water around the lid/top of the cabinet
- Replace when the gasket is torn, brittle, or permanently compressed
What's included: 1 tub ring seal Install notes:
- Unplug the washer and shut off the water supply before servicing
- Lift the top or remove the cabinet to access the tub ring (varies by model)
- Remove the tub ring; clean mating surfaces; seat the new seal evenly without twists
- Reassemble and run a short fill/agitate test to check for leaks

This water level pressure switch monitors the tub's water level via an air hose and signals the washer when to stop filling and move to the next step. Replacing a failed switch restores accurate fills and reliable cycle operation.
- Senses tub water level through air pressure and communicates with the timer/control
- Shuts off inlet valves at the correct level to help prevent overfilling
- Allows the cycle to advance to wash, drain, and spin based on sensed level
- Common symptoms: overfilling/overflow, underfilling or no fill, cycle stuck at fill/sensing, no agitate or spin
What's included: 1 water level pressure switch Install notes:
- Disconnect power and turn off water supply before servicing
- Access the control console to remove the old switch; note wire locations for correct transfer
- Move the air hose to the new switch and ensure the hose is clear, undamaged, and snug at both ends
- Reassemble and run a test fill to verify proper shutoff and cycle progression

Replaced the water inlet valve assembly. I was surprised how easy it was to do. A putty knife to release the panel and a screw driver to release 2 clips. Ordered the parts on Tuesday, received them the next day and the washer was back in business. The wife is happy, and when she's happy, eveybody's happy! Glad I found your site!!
