The Mounting Bolts are OEM parts compatible with GE microwaves. These bolts play a vital role in securely attaching the microwave to the mounting bracket or wall, ensuring stability and safe operation.
The causes of faulty mounting bolts can vary. Over time, constant use and vibrations can loosen the bolts, compromising the stability of the microwave. Additionally, improper installation or overtightening can lead to stripped or damaged threads.
Symptoms of bad mounting bolts may include:
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
I refused to purchase the entire installation kit from GE for about $70, then throw out all parts except the bolts we needed. After searching the web all weekend, I found what we needed on AppliancePartsPro.com. I ordered it on a Sunday evening and we had our bolts on Tuesday. I was amazed to have finally found just what I wanted and to have them arrive so fast. This website is now bookmarked on our computer. So happy to have everything in place again. Read more
Followed the suggestions and washed off the wave guide cover first (it had some food soil on it). Put it back on and tried operating the microwave with nothing in it. Got a real big spark then. With no power in the unit I started to investigate. I removed the power cord and checked the supply. Then I removed a few panels from the unit. The parts are readily accessible and the wiring diagrams on the computer are very helpful. I removed the wires from each device and the probed the devices. I ordered the parts from Appliance Parts Pros online and they shipped the parts in less than one day! Read more

If you search for this issue online, you’ll see this is caused by a faulty door switch - the primary interlock micro switch (with the red button). This switch is at the lowest position in the bracket that holds the switches. The hardest part for me was pulling the cover off. Two screws on one side of the black cover, one on the other side and several screws in back. The cover slides back. The switches are clearly visible on the right hand side. The white door paddle presses on the switch... Read more
Replaced unit. You need to know that the touch pad needs to come out to make repair. One screw and two tabs on bottom. Mechanical connection on damper unit has a tab that connects assembly to damper unit. This needed to be bent up to remove old part. Read more
I ordered both the Grille Assembly and two Grille Clips because it wasn't clear that the clips came with the assembly; they do. I was glad that I did because one of the clips on the assembly was defective, so I had a back up. NOTE: save your old screws; they are NOT included. Installation is relatively simple. It is important that you get the side edges snapped into position before screwing the assembly into place. This may require another person. You most likely will need a small step stool... Read more
