Refrigerator not cooling or clicking but not starting? This compressor start relay and overload kit fixes failed starting systems. DIY repair in 30 minutes.
Took the screws off the back plate at the bottom and watched the YouTube video on how to remove the cover plate for the starter and overload on the back of the compressor. Ended up snapping the old cover plate (brittle plastic) so I was glad the "kit" came with a new one. I used a small flat-head screwdriver and carefully pried off the starter and overload, then, with the new ones in hand, took the wires off the old ones and immediately put them on the new ones so I didn't lose track (there is... Holds the ice dispenser chute door closed on your refrigerator. Replace if spring is broken, missing, or worn and the flapper won't seal properly.
The ice dispenser chute door had not been sealing for years. The ice cubes on the lower portion of the ice bin would melt enough eventually to then freeze up into a big, amalgamated blob of ice due to ambient air coming up the chute. This melt-then-freeze would happen, to the extent the chute froze to its own closure. Despite service technician visits over a period of six years nothing they did resolved the issue. I opened the freezer door to reach into the bin from the top to extract usable... Read more

Supports your refrigerator at the base and lets you roll it forward for cleaning. Replace this roller assembly if cracked, broken, or seized to restore smooth movement.
I decided if one needed replacing I might as well both two--made sense to me. None were available locally so I ordered them on-line. Surprisingly they came sooner than I expected. I also found a video on the internet that clearly showed the procedure. The actual repairs took 15 minutes or less. One good suggestion from the video was to run the screw in and out of the wheel bracket before final mounting. The video also suggested putting something under the corner to eliminate tipping. The... Fix a refrigerator that won't cool or clicks repeatedly. This compressor start relay powers the start winding to help your compressor run. DIY repair.
After running some tests I determined that the problem was a bad defrost timer. The timer would occasionally fail to trigger the compressor to restart at the end of the defrost cycle. Since I had the unit taken apart, I replaced the termination t-stat and the compressor start relay at the same time. Parts came quick 1.5 days, job completed and the unit is up and running. Read more
