This replacement part is an ice dispenser deflector, and it is intended for use in different types of appliances. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. Ice dispenser deflectors are found inside of the ice-making assembly and are an important part of many freezers. The ice dispenser deflector allows the ice to come down from the tray into the dispensing area. A new ice dispenser deflector might be needed if the current one has become too brittle and has even cracked or broken. Be sure that the refrigerator is completely powered off before starting this repair. The user must have access to the ice maker assembly and will need common household tools like a screwdriver and pliers. The user might also need working gloves as some parts in and around the assembly have sharp edges or blades.Note that this part is sold individually. This ice dispenser deflector is sourced directly from the manufacturer and is a genuine OEM replacement part.

Then lift and remove the door from the refrigerator. Lay the door on a soft surface and remove the screws holding the door stop WR2X9302 in place. Reinstall in reverse order." The two screws are fairly easy to remove with a socket wrench with the door in place. Read more
