After some research I discovered the design change Samsung did 3 months after my model was manufactured. Instead of spending $110 on the "redesigned" part I took a good look at it and determined I could disregard the current mounting bracket and order 3 parts to make the conversion with my existing pump, which is working just fine. Removed four hex head screws that secured back access panel. Tilted machine forward and removed the drain hose. The two hose clamps can be moved by hand. Replaced the new drain hose with new clamps. I determined that one of the cold water valves was not working so I replaced the assembly with this part. Even though it has the exact same part number it is not constructed the same. I ordered a temp sensor and replaced it, but the code returned. After reading the post, on appliancepartspros, that were associated with the Samsung temperature sensor, a good percentage of them suggested looking at the yellow and orange temp sensor wires. Replaced the suspension rods and balance ring. Suspension rods were fairly easy and may have solved it. But went ahead and did the ring. What was not obvious and planned for is the tub has to come out and the old ring separated from it. It is a part that was put together in a factory with a press. I used a reciprocating saw to cut a wedge out of the old ring. Then unfolded the crimped rim around the top of the tub and cut it off with tin snips. Read more
