Replaced the suspension rods and balance ring. Suspension rods were fairly easy and may have solved it. But went ahead and did the ring. What was not obvious and planned for is the tub has to come out and the old ring separated from it. It is a part that was put together in a factory with a press. I used a reciprocating saw to cut a wedge out of the old ring. Then unfolded the crimped rim around the top of the tub and cut it off with tin snips. Read more

After replacing thermosistor, main pcb board and sub pcb, washer still would show code. Started checking reading with multimeter and found a break in one of the wires to thermosistor. Spliced in a new wire and problem was resolved. Wiring seems to be a common problem in Samsung washers. Before spending a lot of money on parts, check resistance in thermosistor, check and make sure you have close to same resistance in wiring going to pcb ( mine 7&8 pin) if not probably in wiring.
