Fix a leaking washer or water that won't shut off with this cold water inlet valve. DIY repair takes 20-30 minutes with basic tools to save hundreds.
First - shut off water valves & unplugged electric. Second - opened up back of washer & removed top part as well. Third - turned hot & cold water back on one at a time to see where the leak was coming from...lucky for me it was the inlet valve which was right there at the back of washer. Turned water off again. Fourth - located part on internet - and found you & ordered part but not before I went to Lowe's and called local appliance part stores to see if I could find...did not...came home and... Read more
Seals washer door to prevent water leaks during wash cycles. Replace if torn, cracked, or moldy. Confirm fit with your model number before ordering.
The instructions that came with the parts did not match the project I was doing, so those were not helpful. I looked up videos on YouTube and those all made it look way easier than it actually was. From what I could tell at that point, I wouldn't need to dismantle anything. I would simply be able to remove the gasket and put the new one in its place. I followed YouTube instructions and got the old one off, and got the back of the new one on. Trying to get the spring ring around it was an... Read more
Replaces a broken, cracked, or worn washer door hinge. This pivoting component attaches the door to the machine body for smooth opening and closing.
Replaced the door hinge, unscrewed the door from the hinge then removed old hinge & screwed on new one. I did mark where the old hinge was positioned before removing. Once new hinge was on I was able to attach the door. Very simple repair that took me approx 10 mins. Read more
Fix a washer that won't stop filling or has no hot water with a new inlet valve. Common E02 error code fix. Simple 10-minute plug-and-play repair.
I wanted to only mess with the washer in a single 30-minute session. So, I assumed both solenoid valves were leaking and purchased replacements. It was a simple project, as well as a good chance for my 13-year-old son to accomplish something practical. Steps/tools used, in order: STEP/TOOL 1: Pull the washer electrical plug from the wall; no tools needed. STEP/TOOL 2: Shut off the hot and cold supply hose valves in the wall; no tools needed. STEP/TOOL 3: Unscrew the hot and cold water female... Read more
Secures the door boot to the tub on front-load washers. Replace if you notice increased vibration, noise, or water leaks. Confirm fit with your model.
I saw a tube video of a guy that replaces the boot without taking any of the washer apart. The boot was no problem, I had the old one off and the new one on in 20 minutes... The rear wire/spring clamp I found impossible to do. the spring is so hard to stretch. I tried till both of my thumbs were bleeding from the pressure. So I took off the top control panel, had access to the top of where the boot clamp groove is. I took one end of the wire off the spring, lubed it up with dish soap, put it... Read more

Not mechanical, not an expert, forgive my lack of technical terms. I love my Bosch washer and dryer. They have been great appliances for 15 years. That said, the door boot gasket on the washer has been a problem since day one. This is the thick rubber piece that attaches to the drum and then the doors glass bubble fits into it when closed and keeps the water in the machine. The gasket rips when an underwire bra gets stuck between the door and drum, or when a coat zipper gets too close. It... Read more

Controls drum movement and reduces vibration during the spin cycle. Replace if worn, cracked, or causing excessive bouncing to restore stability.
Removed the rear panel, top lid and found burnt belt and what appeared to be worn out plastic dampers/shocks on bottom of drum. I had called several repairmen and they were all 7-10 days behind. I live in a small town, 60 miles from a metro area and there are very few qualified techs to work on my washer dryer, i was told. A Google search found this site and i was able to EASILY FIND the parts I needed and they WERE IN STOCK. I hoped to get the parts quick and even paid for next day delivery,... Read more
