Blower cooling fan had a bad bushing and was vibrating and making noise Christopher O. • Great Falls , VA • March 12, 2014
Easy fix, this was an identical match to the fan that was in the oven. The only thing missing was the foam strip, that easily came off the old fan assembly and stuck to the new one.
The hardest thing was finding the part, and with a picture to verify. I have found appliancepros.com has a large list of available parts, easy to find in their inventory of available items, and some of the best prices as well. This is a Whirlpool convection slide in oven, and the Whirlpool site was worthless, did...

Oven door was difficult to remove and put back on Steve B. • Greensboro , NC • February 27, 2017
The door hinge latches were bent, which made it difficult to remove the door and re-insert. The door hinge design was changed from a pin insert to a latch from the previous model. Unfortunately, the latch on the 24 inch oven is thin and easily bent, which is likely the source of the problem. I purchased spare door hinges to facilitate re-installing the oven door should I ever have problems with removing and inserting the door again.

Guide wheels snapped off on the under oven storage drawer Michael L. • New York , NY • April 03, 2015
Found the parts on Appliance pros (love the website navigation); ordered on a Sunday afternoon and they were delivered on Tuesday afternoon. I had the drawer repaired within 15 minutes of Fed Ex delivering the package. No tools required other than my fingers!
The original part was riveted to the drawer, these replacements are bolts with nuts and lock washers. Makes me wonder why this was not the original design. The riveted design NEVER seems to hold up to consumer use. Why do it on an...

A burner would not ignite electronically John B. • Buford , GA • December 01, 2018
I decided to replace the whole orifice instead of just the 'spark plug'. In doing so it became apparent that the screws would not come off easily and so I purchased a couple of those to make sure I had enough just in case. Good thing, 2 were messed up taking them out.
It was also pretty dirty after 13 years of cooking so I took the time to clean up most of the bits.
It was a difficult thing to do and took me a while to get thru all the screws in correct order to remove the part and...

Oven had a burnt out hidden bake element and was not heating properly Christopher A. • Auburn , AL • April 23, 2017
Following the instructions that I received through the helpful research of the APP staff, I disconnected the power, disassembled the back of the oven, and accessed the hidden element. This involved bending parts of the sheet metal and cutting the insulation, so I was very apprehensive about doing this. Once I exposed the compartment that contains the element, I had difficulty extracting the old part and was really nervous about pulling hard to extract it - until I saw the damaged element. It...

Bake burner would not light James S. • Peoria , IL • May 18, 2014
Serviceman advised that gas valve was the problem and estimated that repair cost would be $300. He did agree that I could purchase the valve and they would still do the installation. However, as soon as he departed, I decided that I would attempt the repair myself. Purchased the gas valve (9763716) from Appliance Parts 365 as they were $30 less that APP. Then I learned from several online repair clinics that problem is usually the igniter. Purchased an igniter from AP365 but found that it...
